I have no problem with mine and see no reason to use a app, unless you are set on having a certain color. Think I have noticed 3 colors with it the way it comes. White, blue, and green. Maybe be more I really don't pay attention to the color LOL

It's working well for me. Ive seen white for calls, green for texts (i think) and blue for facebook notifications.

That's an option...you can turn it on or off when it's charging. Whatever you like.

My only issue with lightflow is that when your phone is locked and say you get a text message. Your led lights up, you turn on your phone and swipe down on your notification bar (without unlocking)...you see the text and say it's only a few words so you can read the entire thing in the "preview" on the notification pulldown. You swipe to dismiss it (or press the X to clear them all), but the lightflow continues to blink the led. Kind of a drag. You have to go all the way into the text message to look at it before lightflow thinks you've paid attention to the notification. Kind of lame and hopefully they fix that. Gonna send an email to the dev.

Change the settings in Light Flow so that turning on the screen will kill the LED instead of opening the app. There is a setting that has 3 options I believe 1) Manual 2) Screen 3) App

App has worked flawlessly for me so far and I really love it. Was the one thing I always missed from my Blackberry days was the custom LED apps that never worked on my past HTC phones.

Does the LED light up for calendar notifications? My first unit never did, even with lightflow. Neither does my second unit.

My led wasn't working at all, except when the phone rang. Any idea if I have a setting wrong or something?

I love the LED light. Simple, yet does what it's supposed to do without being annoying. I've only noticed white for texts and blue for Facebook notifications.

Mine seems to glow white with blue around the edges and it blinks off and on for missed emails,
But just now It was constantly glowing bright red. I checked and I had received breaking news feeds from the NYtimes app...happy with the LED.

The developer actually made a change last night (and emailed me about it)...now there is a setting that as soon as the notification bar is accessed, it'll kill the lights for each individual notification (if you set it to in each separate notification section, ie. mail, text, etc). Works perfectly now.

Looks like dev heard you. There's now an option to clear when you pull the notification bar down. Awesome!

It says they DON'T take any info. Be it credit card info or anything else for that matter.

Did you make sure your notification lights are in fact enabled in the light flow settings?

Using Light flow, mine works for calls and emails, but I'm using GO SMS and i can't get the led to work for me at all. If anyone else is using GO sms could you share your settings.

Another color I get that I have not seen anyone mention with just the stock LED is purple for yahoo mail app.

I just tried lightflow and it didn't work when I tried the "test" function in the notification config menu. Hm.

I had a similar experience. I use Handcent, which gives a lot of notification options, including LED notification color. When I set it up like I have on my OG Droid and my Bionic, the app force closes. I think that's a pretty clear sign that at the very least, the LED will not work with all apps nor under all circumstances right now. As long as they figure it out soon I'll be happy.

I stand corrected. While the handcent app does still force close when I try and "test" it, the notification actually works flawlessly when I received two texts just a few minutes ago. Even better, the notification stayed blinking even after I turned the screen on! That was not the case in Gingerbread.

Also, I received an email and the white notification lit up. So it appears only G+ notifications aren't working, but maybe they aren't built into ICS? I may have to download LightFlow. I didn't want a 3rd party service running in the background all the time eating up battery, but if it doesn't drain it too bad, I may use it.
