Doesn't the $299 RAZR MAXX HD seem a bit expensive?
(if VZW also price the new Galaxy Note 2 at $299)

Not at all and the $650 retail I'm paying is acceptable too.

I remember paying $300 for the T-Mobile sidekick 3. I would gladly pay $300 for the Maxx HD or Note 2. :-)

Edit: I may even pay full price!

I remember when T-Mobile allowed me to upgrade my phone for $300 by signing a new two-year contract even though I was not even a year into my current contract.

Me too! I think that's how I got the sidekick lx. :)

Interesting...thanks for sharing. I feel like $299 is a lot, bit I still bought it. I'm going to show them the Dell price and them to match it.

Let us know if they price match. I'm sure they'll pull out the tome of excuses but I would like to hear what the results are.

Verizon won't price match on contract prices, especially from a company that has no physical retail stores. (The dell deal may also have a contract stipulation like amazon wireless and wirefly do)

Also, $299 is very reasonable for this device. If you don't want to pay it, wait until we get into the holiday season and they start running some sales.

I already bought it...just figured I'd ask. It isn't going to make any real difference in my life.

Buying a phone at $300 subsidized just seems too much. Almosty worth it to just buy off contract.

Comparing the Razr Maxx HD to the Razr HD, the extra $100 gets you the bigger battery, and 32GB of built-in memory (the plain Razr HD comes with 16GB built-in). Not sure what the Note 2 has. Also, the build of Samsung phones and tablets leaves something to be desired. The Razr HD phones are built like a tank.

How much is it off contract?

RAZR Maxx HD cost $650 off contract.
