Dolphin Browser steals your data...again

Has anyone noticed this? I decided to download the latest version of Dolphin the other day and was told to Agree to a small disclaimer. Hidden in the middle of it was basically "we can look at the websites you go to."

Seriously? After all the flak they went through, after people found out they were stealing data with their bloated Webzine feature? It took them two tries before AndroidPolice deemed them safe, and now their browser is back at data theft again.

But this time it's okay, because if you don't read the EULA they have every right to steal it. Great.

I'm not read any license agreement. I think you take them seriously. Never-mind this kind of thing really bad thing. I think every android app take personal data. For example angry bird can access our contacts, messages, track location etc. But its a game. Reading user data not necessary for this kind of app.

Here, I'll quote part. Here is what they call non-personal information, which includes, sites you have visited?!

When you download Dolphin Browser or use Dolphin Services, Dolphin receives ... the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.

Here is the section regarding the bloat from Dolphin's Webzine.

Each time you visit a website, the Dolphin Browser client needs to send your current user URL to the Dolphin Browser server.

Dolphin then goes on to explain they might share your information with their parent company, their friends, their affiliates, Etc. Don't believe me? Read it yourself.

Compare that to Opera, which has more than enough potential to collect user data (especially when compressing images on pages)! Friends have screamed about its security risks, but it's never made the news as dangerous. In fact, this short privacy policy of theirs remains undisputed. THIS IS THEIR BROWSER'S WHOLE DARN PRIVACY POLICY. Not a snippet, not made to look good:

Opera Software has taken much care in the development process so that user privacy and security are not compromised. No personal information is collected or shared. The Opera user’s Web usage is not tracked.

Opera Mobile uses Google Analytics on Android to track referred installations to measure effects of marketing campaigns. No personal identifiable information is collected.
