After dealing with camera issues, issues with the touch screen being so sensitive that it constantly switches to speaker when it's in my pocket and I'm on Bluetooth... Issues with battery life as well as the screen turning off when I try to drag down the task bar because it thinks it's in a pocket... Ugh! Add to that all the worries about the longevity of this phone (I know, I know, it's not a note) and the battery...
I preordered my Pixel XL yesterday. Once it comes in, my S7 is going Into storage.

I was tempted to wait for the Pixel, but chose the S7 because of the proven camera and because of the price. I got burned by the HTC One M8 when people at first said the camera was good. It turned out to be the worst. By the time I'm ready to upgrade again the Pixel will have a proven track record.

I'm probably the minority, but I rarely notice anything different between most modern cameras. I've used a Lumia 950, iPhone 6, 6s, and GS7 and they all look the same. So unless it's an absolute potato camera I don't really care. I'm looking more towards the seamless updates, buying into the Google brand and getting a much larger device with much more internal storage.

Being able to update the phone in the background, and then "boot" from the new OS is a great feature. There's plenty to like about the Pixel. The Pixel's camera certainly sounds promising. For me, I wanted a great camera and the S7 fits that at a price I'm willing to pay.

Other phones may be nice but Samsung Pay is a keeper!

It never worked for me. I had it set up and it never worked at McDonald's. My iPhone worked everytime, even when the cashier said it was supposed to be broke.

Try android pay. I used that once in KFC. They said it wasn't supposed to work but it did.

Maybe I better stop buying Samsung.
That's certainly one acceptable option. If I was unhappy with a product or manufacturer I wouldn't keep giving them my hard earned money. Sounds like you should try another company for your next phone.

Ohhhh, I have that too! Drives me nuts :o Doesn't do it all the time but enough to be aggravating. I have to sneak up on it from the bottom lol

that's crazy (your SP issue). I just used SP at McDonalds today., Works like a charm--takes less then 3-4 seconds. I've used it MANY times at various McDonalds.

Yeah, I switched from iPhone back to Android. I'm sticking with Android still. I've got a Pixel XL coming next month.

When I see words like these it's usually one of two things: operator error or defective phone. A defective phone can be exchanged. Operator error needs some training time. Millions are using Samsung Pay every day with no problem.

I've used Apple Pay at the same location dozens of times in the past. I have tried to use Samsung Pay at the same location, on the exact same register card terminal. It's a defective phone, which also explains why one out of every five or so photos taken will not save to my device. This is reason enough to switch for me.

If by "defective phone" you mean that YOUR particular S7 has these problems, that sounds like it's an accurate statement. If by "it's a defective phone", you mean all s7's won't work at the same terminal as your iPhone, that's an incorrect assumption. So are you know saying that you think it's YOUR S7 that has these issues? If so, how come you aren't replacing it via the warranty?

Exactly, replace your phone and don't claim all Samsung S7 phones are bad. Plus, Apple Pay and Samsung Pay work differently at terminals. Just suggesting you may want a refresher course on exactly how to use Samsung Pay. Key difference, Apple Pay uses NFC, Samsung Pay uses MST then NFC. Where you hold the phone and for how long are factors when using MST.
