Don't Bother Checking for ICS it is NOT ready

You mean "Shut the front door!"

Anyone who is forced to wait, maybe they will be blessed with some last minute fixes etc...

First off, the upgrade in place is shoddy at best.

1. The Play Market does not work right - items you delete from the phone come back and install 5 minutes later. Delete them again, they come back again.

4. You can place icons over icons (they overlap each other) - from the applications to home screen bottom menu. I just dragged an app to the home screen and dropped it on another icon and it super imposed itself on another icon... what do you do about that...

1. Don't back your data up with google and if you do Uninstall from the play store not from the phone menu. You're deleting the app on the phone. Google play is looking at your phone and seeing that an app is backed up is not present on your phone for whatever reason and restoring it. If I'm wrong please tell me so.

4. That's a feature that makes it easier to create a folder and see it's contents. Aim better when setting up your icons. and if you miss. hit the folder you just created and drag it where you wanted to put it.

The simplest way to do it is put the zip in cache and let Rom Manager install it.

Or if you want to be smart and not take a chance of bricking your phone, just wait for the update.

2. Your corporate email account settings get trashed - if you had one prior to the upgrade you will notice that you cannot enable push notifications for that account. You have to remove it and start from scratch.

I pulled it down overnight and installed this AM when I woke up.

My experience on the upgrade vis-a-vis email was different from yours. My settings were only partially trashed. I did not have to remove and re-add either of my exchange accounts (one work, one hosted home).

I did have to change the "Mailbox check frequency" from "Every 15 minutes" to "Automatic (Push)" and it cleared out my signature. Otherwise it seems to work pretty well in the short few minutes I've had to play with it this morning.

I send/receive 400-600 emails a day, so I'm very sensitive to how well this app works (which under GB is not as good as my iPhone 4's mail app in subtle ways, neither one of which are as good as the BB mail app the Maxx replaced). I'm anxious to live with ICS and see how it fares.

I've noticed Swipe to delete and swipe to move seem a little "hinky" - I seem to have more issues (takes more than one swipe) deleting one-handed with my thumb than I had under GB. It could also be that it's 4:30 in the morning and "pilot error" may be a problem.

I was most excited about ICS for the global roaming, since I'm traveling to Asia next week, and didn't want to have to reactivate my BB.
