I have a Galaxy Note 10 2014 and recently updated to Android 4.4.2. I have installed Dash Clock but in order to get it working the instructions say I have to Enable Widgets under Settings - Security. However when I go to Settings - Security I don't see the option to Enable Widgets. I verified Android version in About Device.

Thanks. I did see that. The issue I am having is that the option Enable Widgets does not appear under Settings -> Security, so I can't enable that feature.

I did forget to mention that I have Nova Launcher free installed, but not sure that would matter.

Shouldn't make any difference, as I have nova as well as "enable widgets" in 4.4.3 on my N7. However, my wife's Dell Venue 8 running 4.3 doesn't have that option.

The "enable widgets" option wasn't added until 4.4 so hers wouldn't.

And running Nova shouldn't matter, unless you're going into Nova's settings menu and not the phones.

I think I read somewhere that the newest version of TouchWiz doesn't allow for lock screen widgets. I could be wrong though.

I contacted Samsung to no avail. They made it sound like Enable Widgets was not supported by my device. Either that or the person I got was clueless. If anyone else has a Samsung Note 10.1 2014 Edition running 4.4.2 and was able to get Dash Clock working, I'd love to know how you did it.

Hi.

Just registered to reply that I found the "enable widgets" option under lockscreen settings. It seems that the "swipe to unlock" must be chosen to enable the widgets.

I'm using Galaxy Note 2.

Yeah, I had the same problem but i got it.
Just go to the home/lock/(whatever you call it) screen and long press at any blank space.
The phone will then provide you widgets in the option there.
That's it! No setting change, no security headbanging or whatever. You're good to go
