Don't understand Google updates

If I un-install a Google app, like Playbooks Movies, ect.. why does Google Play keep reinstalling it?
What can I do to keep these apps that I don't want from updating?

Disable them:
Settlings > Apps > Select app > Disable

Android since v1.0. Linux user since 2001.

They are disabled and uninstalled, but Google will update them on it's own.
