Double Email

I believe when I first fired up my EVO I entered my gmail info. Then later on I connected to my Google account.

Now I get two notifications for every email. One for what looks like to be the built in EVO email app, and another that looks like a dedicated gmail app.

The gmail app offers the most gmail options so I would like to keep that running and turn off the phone's mail app which is good, but doesn't offer the gmail specific options.

Can someone explain where I would do this? I tried accounts and syncing but that seems to only offer the option to stop my gmail app from syncing...

Sounds like you might have your account set up in htc email, too. Open that app, ('mail'), tap settings, more, accounts to check. If it's there, just delete it.

I set up all of my accounts in the default mail application and then turned off notifications in the GMail application.
