Double tap to wake for other launchers?

I really like the LGG4 double tap to wake feature but it doesn't seem to work with Nova Prime. Any 3rd party launchers that support double tap to wake? Maybe an app to add to Nova?

Yeah, download the app Screen Off then set that app for the double tap gesture in Nova.

Hmm, it works fine on mine with Nova Prime... It's just the double tap to screen off is different for me .

Oh, I misread and thought he meant double tap to sleep. Yeah wake should work on any launcher.

By the way, double tap to sleep works on Nova without another app if you tap the status bar. I prefer anywhere on the screen though so I use the Screen Off app when I run Nova.

I finnaly made the switch to Nova Prime and double tap to wake does indeed work fine. So does double tap status bar to sleep but the status bar is high up on the phone and kinda hard to double tap one handed on the move so I found this bit of info on Reddit:

Things you will need:

Nova Prime

Go to Nova settings> Gestures and buttons > Double tap > Shortcuts Tab > Activities

From there find screen off and lock and select 'screen off' (mainhelper)

Thats it! Double tap on a blank area on your home screen to turn screen off, it works instantly.

I tried it and it works great! Also added a cool TV off animation when the screen locks!

But when using this method, it will lock your phone immediately. So it will render your smart unlock useless (if you are using it).

I'm not using smart lock at the moment...what are the benefits of smart lock?

FWIW, I also set up the "home" button to activate a Screen Off app when on the default page. That way two taps of the home button return the phone to the home screen and turn it off at the same time.

I was going to try this gesture shortcut, but under Activities, I do not see anything listed that resembles "screen off and lock," or "screen off," nor do I see anything related to "mainhelper" (or have any idea what that is). I will confess to having my lock screen settings set to None on my phone, so maybe options don't show up for me.

You have to have Nova Prime (paid version) and Screen Off & Lock apps installed. Gestures won't work on free Nova.

I have Nova Prime. I guess it wont show a "screen off" option if you have your phone's lock screen set to "None."

I have lock settings set to "None" too. The "screen off" people are talking about is a separate app that you download from google play.

Using Nova Prime here with my Sprint G4 and works perfectly. Your Nova launcher isn't the problem.
