Double-tapping in the 3D's browswer

First I want to make clear that I love the Evo 3D and it's browser. I have noticed something though that seems a bit cumbersome. When I double-tap an area of a web page, it doesn't seem to zoom in 'intelligently'. By that I mean it doesn't xoom to the width of the image or column I double-tapped on... like many other phone / tablet web browsers do. Have you noticed this or found a way around it?

I think it's just the way the browser works for Android. I came from a Palm Pre to the EVO 4G and now the 3D, and both EVOs worked the same way, where the Pre did not. I have just gotten used to it.

I always disliked the fact that the Pre never resized text, so I couldn't read some thing or have difficulty doing so.

You mean rearranging like Android? That's one great thing about Android, but I don't feel like pinching to zoom in the browser is as fluid.

After having an iphone for a year, the way Android does it is MUCH better. What you're thinking of is just zooming in to the table area, which is awful. Android actually reformats the text, which is a much more preferable way to read.

I love the way Android re formats the text to the viewable area, however, double-tapping does not usually zoom into an area of the page with a width that makes 'sense'. For example, instead of zooming into a photo on a web page according to the photo's width and then reformatting the text, it zooms in cutting off the photo and re formats the text. It's very usable and a great browser, just something I noticed different than what I'm used to on my Samsung tablet.
