Download More Themes?

Is it possible to download more themes from the phone's settings? I just got my V30 yesterday (and loving it!) and I'm getting it customized with Nova Launcher and other apps, but I'm unable to download any more themes. When I open settings and go to 'Home screen' and 'Theme', my V30 offers 6 default themes. I just watched a review where the gentlemen showed on his V30 a little download button just to the top right of the stock themes that takes him to a "store" where he can choose from and download several other custom themes. My V30 does not have that download button. Is there a setting somewhere to enable that option? Or some other way to get into the LG "store"? I know I can download separate themes from the Google Play Store, but I'm interested in trying the LG themes first. Any suggestions would be appreciated - thanks!

Play Store themes are better quality than those that LG offered from Smart World. If you want the Smart World themes, you'd have to find and install the smart world apk.

Not sure about your V30, but Smart World is built into mine. I did not have to download anything.

Just go to Settings -> Display tab -> Theme
or Settings -> Theme if you use list view in settings

In the upper right of the Theme page there is a download icon that will take you to Smart World

Don't have the V30, but Smart World was missing from some models of the V20, which is why u indicated he may have to download it.

In any case, Play Store has much better themes.

Not on mine from Verizon. And Theme is under Home screen not Display on mine. You have a choice of 6 themes. The thing I don't like about themes and wallpaper from the Play Store, are the ads.

You need LG Smartworld to install more themes from LG.

Can someone tell me, what the Signature and Light Wave themes change? They have a special icon in the lower right hand corner but I don't know what that means. Here's a picture:

You could just try them to see. But, it simply denotes that they are live themes. As in, the background images moves or changes.

Thanks for all the replies! As the originally replier (is that word) advised, I did have to download Smartworld. It was a bit odd, though, as Smartworld is not in the Google Play Store. I Googled it and found their website (http://us.lgworld.com) and was able to side load it from there. I was little concerned about doing so, but now when I open the settings on my phone and go to Home Screen and Themes, I have the little download arrow button. I successfully loaded a new theme and it looks great!

I also tried a couple generic themes from the Google Play Store, and I too found they were loaded with ads. It was probably just the ones I tried as I didn't look long after getting the downloads from Smartworld working and I might try more in the future.

Thanks again, all - loving this new V30! I was nervous about it as I've been using a Pixel XL the past year and had planned to get the Pixel 2 XL, but just felt the hardware and size of the V30 is so much better.

Ah, carrier differences. Always forget about that.

I've had the V20 for the last year and didn't realize that there were LG themes on the play store. Learn something new every day!

I've never seen a single ad in any theme I've downloaded on my V20. I have a few paid ones and a few free ones.

I'm on Verizon. I was able to go to the LG site and download LG's SmartWorld App. (After allowing 3rd party apps in settings.) Once installed you can download more themes, wallpaper, and other stuff.

The themes are pretty good terrible though. Samsung offered really great themes.

True for now. Nice wallpaper though. I haven't looked at the games or anything else.
