Well looks like I will be joining those that are going to wait it out. When they get somethings fixed and possibly add things to it. Das bamf gb will be awesome haha

GB version of Das Bamf is what I'm waiting for.
BAMF1.6.3 is a very niiice ROM. i find it hard to flash anything else. It is extremely stable and the fastest ROM i have ever ran. Holding out for some 2.3ROMs is exciting but being patient isnt so easy. i like to flash ROMs all the time just cuz i can. after i found out what titanium backup is and what it does. im not so hesitant to flash anything
I agree 100% with your comments, love bamf 1.6.3, addicted to flashing, and I'm not a patient person![]()
I admit I am waiting until Unrevoked includes the TB, as the current root processes are too involved for me with my current schedule to perform.
can you just flash the radio from the gingerbread leak or do you have to flash an entire rom? I'm running bamf 1.6.3
There's one click root available. Look in the forum stickies. There's a windows and Mac thread. Go for it

I think it's more of an issue that some people are trying to wait it out until someone finds a method to root the current firmware that doesn't involve downgrading which wipe the device. Not that big of a deal for myself, but some others can't get past the whole wipe part.
I'm also not sure sure I'd refer to it as "one-click" root. It's a nice script that does handle most of the heavy lifting for you (adb commands), but there are steps that require user interaction. (I may be wrong, but I also believe those auto-root procedures no longer work for devices that have the latest VZW OTA applied).
It's a real catch-22 that the root process wipes your data, yet you can't install any of the backup apps until after you're rooted. The process itself isn't that difficult, but the restoration of settings and such can be time consuming, even if you're not that concerned about the actual loss of data due to the wipe.
