Downloaded music, where is it??

Im new to Android so have a question??? I downloaded some music from the Google Play Store and paid for it. Problem is I cant find it now??? Its not in my music folder? When I was on Apple, if i downloaded music in iTunes, it would automatically show in my music folder.. HELP??

Google usually hides it because of the subscription service it would make it too easy to pirate

Just because no one responded doesn't mean you were being actively ignored. Most people probably just didn't have an answer for you. On forums like these, responses like "Sorry, can't help you" can be as frustrating as no response at all. I'm glad you were able to find a solution on your own, and posting some more details would help other members with the same question.

But I agree with the previous poster, Google purposely makes it difficult to find downloaded music, because otherwise it would make piracy much easier.

If you have a computer you can download Google Music manager which will download your purchased music to your computer works for windows mac and some flavors of Linux

Or you can download tracks directly from your Google Play Music Library website to your computer, with a restriction of two total downloads per track. But these would only be music in your library, not from All Access.

Yes your rite it's a good thing there are ways to find it but it requires a root browser and a few other things I'm not going to get into the details but yes they are hidden on purpose you can always use the Google play music app and it will always access it I've been using it since it came out 2 years ago and love it but your free to use what ever you want

It won't be in a readable format it will be all simply numbers and not all will play outside of google play and you will need a file explorer depending if it's on your external sd card or your internal 0 folder or external sd folder look up storage android data .com.google.music

1. Install musicmate from google play
2. Buy subscription
3. Download your playlist
4. Use the following to copy it to PC
adb pull /storage/BF8F-1800/Android/media/com.sapien.android.musicmate c:\GoogleMusic

note: /storage/BF8F-1800/ could be different depending on what device you have
