downloaded new FB, have problems

OK, just downloaded the new FB version, a little sluggish but cool. Only problem is it force closes everytime I go to search friends. I cant look at friends' profiles because it keeps force stopping.

I shut it off and on. I signed out and in. Still does it. How do I fix this or at least uninstall it and go to the old version?

I get a force close every time I try to open the Friends section. I've rebooted the phone and doesn't seem to have made a difference. I'm sure it will get patched soon.

Mine was FC when i looked at my friends too but after 5-10min it started working fine. My guess is it was loading or searching. I did not reinstall. Even the widget was not loading until i added it 3-4 times, that is also fine

Just wondering if those who say everything is fine are running stock or have rooted + removed the stock app? The phone comes with a Facebook app this is technically bloatware and can't be uninstalled unless you root. Does 1.3.0 replace that app? I'm wondering if some of these problems aren't caused by having both versions of the phone running.

Did you try clearing the cache?

Menu>settings>applications>manage applications>facebook for android>clear data.

i have the stock 2.1 rom on my phone. i just upgraded and that feature is working fine.

has anyone tried syncing their contact photos with this app instead of the Facebook for HTC Sense way of doing it? I wonder if this will update profile pics automatically on my contacts instead of doing it the manual way of signing out and then signing in again.
Anyone that has 2.2, is this fixed on that version?

i want to know the same thing. I removed htc sense account and it got rid of all that fb information. Then i tried to sync the fb app. (cus you can sync existing contacts). But i still dont have the fb information synced. To get it back i have to link the htc sense fb again. I dont understand. But i hope froyo fixes it.
