Downloaded pictures not showing in gallery

[Android Central Question]

I use Chrome as my main browser but recently I noticed pictures I download are not showing up in my gallery so I decide to open them in chrome but it shows me those pictures as Chinese texts in MI text viewer. I really need help I use a Redmi note 9pro btw....I have no idea how a picture can suddenly change to texts

Whats images are you copying/downloading and what websites are you copying them from if you don't mind? Also do u use Chinese normally?

My best advice is to get a browser downloader like GetThemAll in the play store. It allows you to download a somewhat comprehensive list of items off any website, is generally easy to use, and allows you to pick the download location. Youtube is a no go with this one and most browser downloaders. Its not perfect but its free with ads and only 12.99 for a lifetime subscription. For full videos I woulld use another, but all the little tidbits on the webpage it works great. Aloha.

Seems these Redmi note 9pro problematic phones lately, are you rooted?
