Hello All!
So I think I've come across something of importance with the new doze feature 6.0.
So I've noticed weird things with the 6P like podcasts stuttering every 30 or so minutes, Google Play movies stop buffering halfway through, and in some cases Google Play music barely even playing. I think this may have to do with the doze feature. You would think that Google would think of this before launching the OS but who knows, maybe I'm wrong.
My theory is that when I am watching Netflix via Chromecast for example, I find that Netflix has stopped and tried to load or has stuttered as if the movie hasn't buffered. Since does puts the apps to "sleep" I believe this is effecting the performance of the apps I am using while my device is sitting still on my desk or table in my living room. The system wants to put the apps in doze, and does it successfully, but the apps do not want to be in doze and causes these issues I described above.
Has anyone else experienced these issues? If so, what do you think it maybe? Or is this simply a buggy OS that will inevitably will have patches that will fix these issues?
Also take note, that I have already replaced the device through my cellular carrier and the device is experiencing identical issues. That is why I think this maybe some sort of bug that will be taken care of in future updates.
