Since last night I've noticed significant battery drain. Today I checked by battery use and found Android System at 40%. I know this is not normal. I installed watchdog and see that Android System has been running steady for 16 hours. I haven't installed any new apps so I'm wondering what could be causing this.

Sounds like you have a process running amuck. Have you rebooted the phone yet?

Do that first and see if it stops.

I have actually had to pull the battery to get a good reset on something like that.

Did the battery pull, its still draining. Is there anyway to see what process is not letting the phone sleep?

Ok, so the battery is not draining fast anymore but my awake time is around 16 hours right now...shouldn't this be a lot lower? I assumed my phone sitting idle all night would have caused it to sleep.

Yes, usage should be pretty minimal over night unless you have something updating itself constantly.

Have you checked your sync settings for your accounts? Almost sounds like things are syncing too often.

Checked sync settings...the most frequent sync I have is Facebook every 2 hours.
