Drive Assist and Car Bluetooth Cutting Out

I have a Moto X and the drive assist is great. The problem I have is when I pair it to my car Bluetooth. When a call comes in, I get the message "Text from xxxx, say listen to hear it" over my car speakers, before I get a chance to answer, it cuts off the Bluetooth and I get the typical hangup tone from my car Bluetooth. The Bluetooth works just fine on a phone call, the problem is just cutting off the text messages immediately after is asks for a response. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try to unpair and set it up again. Worked for me.

Is your car BT also set up as a media device on the BT settings? If so, maybe it needs to be set up as phone only. Just guessing

I will check that out, but when I set it up in my car there I don't remember any settings for that.

It's in the BT settings on the phone. Go to BT then click on the little dealie to the right of the device and it will take you to advanced settings
