Driver Installation

Throwing out a quick question to our many visitors. I just reinstalled my entire Dell Studio laptop back a few days ago. Its running Windows Vista 64bit. Anyways.. What drivers have you had luck installing on Vista 64 bit?

I've tried the 32 bit and the 64 bit drivers and they install fine but as soon as I hook up the phone with debugging on it goes to install the drivers then says USB device unrecognized and the drivers don't work. It lists it as a generic device and I can't get it to do anything else...

I've tried multiple cables/ports no go.. Same cables do work fine on my other computers so I know they work.

Any suggestions?

have you tried letting it sit in download mode and let it install the composite drivers, then boot back up and try again

Alright I got it... For some reason my wifes Epic didn't want to trigger the driver installation properly, but mine did... Strange..

Oh well.. Mission accomplished.

Note: Along with have additional extra cables to try, have an extra Epic 4g on hand to use. LMAO...

Sounds funny but it worked... I even installed the Android SDK thinking it might trigger it... Wifes didn't but mine did.. Now that its installed it recognizes my wifes phone fine..
