Droid 2 spacebar google search?

My roommate is running a Droid 2 with Android 2.3.3 OTA update. Now everytime he presses spacebar it will bring up a google search.

That is odd. Menu > Settings > Applications > Quick Launch. I do not see the space bar listed in there but look to see if something has google search assigned to it. If so, press on it and a menu comes up asking if you want it unassigned.
