Droid 4 Release Delays Galaxy Nexus?

Verizon NEVER releases two phones on the same day!

EVER!

It's NEVER happened before. I challenge anyone to give me an example of a time that it has happened. Until then, this "leak" is false, in my opinion.

Did he actually tweet the "good date"? No? Well then probably best to leave p3droid's personal status updates in his twitter where they belong. When there's actually a date up there then feel free to rumormonger, but honestly it's creepy at this point that people post even his non-informational status updates like bible quotes.

Anyways, interesting announcement. Really, I wouldn't be surprised any way it spins. Galaxy Nexus after Droid 4 to sell DROIDs first? Ok. Galaxy Nexus same day as Droid 4 to entice a bigger group of people at the same time (diehard hardware keyboard fanatics, here's lookin at you)? Ok. I could see it launching same time as droid 4 since the razr and rezound will have been out for a few weeks and maybe verizon thinks releasing the droid 4 same time as nexus would help boost droid sales and lower nexus sales therefore being able to say well it didn't sell well so we are no longer going to carry any other nexus. JMO since verizon seems to hate this phone altogether.

You know, to be honest; I really don't want Verizon to sell any more Nexus phones after this one. I just hope this doesn't damage Google to the point were they won't make any more Nexus phones.

Naw, I don't use twitter - and the sheer amount of posts/hate he gets remind me daily why I'm not interested in starting.

Haha yeah, I could see that too. Though I'm a bit overly optimistic sometimes - I feel like setting both out at the same time could actually boost sales of both. More pictures on more *~*NEW*~* signs, more people move through the store and either fall in love with ICS or clutch their hardware keyboard with glee. Then again, maybe Droid 4 will have some other claim to fame besides the keyboard and pull a little more focus.

You would have thought that with releasing the rezound, razr, and nexus all at the same time would have done that also but apparently verizon doesn't think logically and thinks about just making money. Funny thing is they would make a ton selling them with all 3 out at the same time and save on a lot of returns.

Two different phones so if on the same day who cares? The Droid 4 has a physical keyboard, the Gn does not. I bought the OG droid because it had the hardware keyboard. The sales rep was even pointing me to a phone that didn't have a keyboard(only because he was not authorized to sell me a phone costing as much as the OG droid....I had to insist that he connect me to someone who could sell me the OG droid so that I could have a physical keyboard).

Move forward to now. Done with them. I don't want a hardware keyboard ever again on a phone, so the Droid 4 and the GN released on the same day ---no impact to me. I know what I am getting----a GN without a physical keyboard.

Let it be.

Google will be fine since they will still keep the nexus the same as always and a developers phone. They do not care if they sell millions of these all they want is developers to get their apps and everything working with the latest os so that when phones are updated things work. After the nexus 1 debacle I think google is fine. I mean if that didn't stop them from making nexus this certainly won't.

Do you gus remember not so long ago the rumors of both a slider and touch version of the nexus? Ahh, the release of this nexus has been riddled with rumors since its inception. but, fear not for sometime before the new year is born we wil have our dear nexi!
