Droid and Go Launcher issues

I have two questions. I am new here, and actually new to having the Android OS. Motorola Milestone running 2.1 is my phone. Question one is: I am running Go Launcher, and every time I play Angry Birds I exit out of it and all my icons are gone. They come back a few seconds after the program is closed. Is there a way to fix this issue? My other question is why want Go Launcher change my notification bar? I have tried every thing to get it to work.

Its possible that the phone hardware can't keep up with go launcher does this happen on every launcher or just go launcher
