droid bionic just started shutting down

My phone has been generally well behaved in the 6 months I've had it. However, while checking email, and just after charging,it shut off. This has happened occasionally, however this time it repeatedly shut itself off within seconds. Now the only thing that changed was, I had just changed my active wallpaper right before it started shutting down. Has anyone experienced this?
