Droid Bionic price page up

Well, since this is a Bionic price page, might as well get it back on topic.

I told my dad about the phone price and he was like "$300?! You have money to buy it, it's not my problem."

So I'm going to have to buy it with my money. At least I know I'm getting the phone 100% now.

I'm ready for you 7/28 or 8/4!

It's always nice when you have your own money and don't have to worry if other people will allow you to buy something.

Do you got an extra $300 to get me one too? that would be pretty great(and since i asked first i'm the only one who you should buy one for)

I have had $400 ready to go since April set aside in savings. Having a job really helps in that regard LOLZ.

Well when your to young to have a job but still have money saved up you tell your parents you don't have any money and if that doesn't work plan b use your own money
Independent FTW but broke after being independent lol

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say

1) no pentile screen (or just the fact the SGSII will have the new SAMOLED+)
2) Dual core at 1.2 ghz vs 1 ghz
3) Possibly more RAM
4) No webdock
5) Possible vanilla device

Everything except 2 or 3 is a FEATURE. His post was talking about SPECS.

As for 2, a 0.2 Ghz bump in speed is insignificant. As for 3, very highly unlikely.

1) Probably a 20% chance of this happening
2) Maybe a 30% chance for this. What is more important is if a new OMAP processor is introduced
3) 0% chance. It would be stupid to even try.
4) About 25% chance. I don't really care about this
5) About 15% likely.

To the poster that mentioned Touchwiz as opposed to Motoblur, that's another 0%

Why would Motorola throw in Samsungs android interface on one of their phones? Blur is motorola software, touchwiz is samsungs. That'd be akin to apple slapping webos on the Iphone.

i was waiting on bionic too. after they "enhanced" it i thought it would be really on par with the competition coming out in the next quarter. But im let down. Bionic does have descent specs but its almost outdated already and isnt even out. isnt quad core processors coming out next year. i read they also improved the 3d technology that evo3d has for future 3d phones. The 300 price tag doesnt make it any better either. all i really want is lte/lots of memory/faster than1ghz processor/3d and a nice 4.3 screen. Sprint is kicking vz ass right now in terms of phones/plans. might just get a charge for now off ebay or craiglist and save my upgrade for something really major if i even use it. vz takes any longer might just jump ship all together

You can't put technology into something it hasn't been developed for yet. I'm disappointed in cars. Cartoons I watched while growing up clearly stated that they would be able to fly and hover by the year 2000.

I must disagree; it IS on par with next quarter's phones (still dual processors/1 gig ram; no BIG improvements on phones until 2012) - 3D, at least to me is wasted on a phone and just a gimmick (UI effects are nice, but phone calls/emails/texting/internet surfing, etc., do not require 3D; Games and movies...MAYBE, but for me, the things listed above are what I do most on a phone) and I'd rather spend money on faster chips, better radios, and memory than 3D technology - Sprint kicks their ass on phones/plans, but NOT ON SERVICE & LTE SPEED, and that, again to me, is most important. I want coverage wherever I go and my Sprint friends that come here to visit do not have the service I get from Verizon...so I am will to pay more for that service and speed.

I agree with this. Definitely future proof for a while, and if you really need to you could probably still sale the phone for $400 6 months down the road and pick up the latest and greatest for $200 retail, give or take (+ the $400 of course). Also, one of my biggest pet peeves are when people want a "better" processor and only refer to the clocking speed! Makes me wanna rip my hair out because they don't understand the architecture of chips and the other variables involved in making a phone (or computer for that matter) run fast! Sure, the phone has 1GB of ram (what rumored phone has more?), but that's DDR2 which runs faster/more efficient than what most of us probably have in our phones currently. On top of that, if you don't utilize all the ram during day-to-day functions, then you are wasting the ram you have, and I can guarantee you that most people, unless really trying, aren't going to be able to use 1GB of ram all at once. Finally, as stated millions of times, Android doesn't even use the full potential of dual-core phones yet! How about we see how an app runs that's optimized for dual-core before trying to immediately move on the quad-core. How many cpus/gpus do we need to send an sms anyway? xD
