Droid Charge to Nexus...back to Droid Charge

I hated my Charge. Not as much as I hated the Thunderbolt though. The Nexus is about the longest I've used a phone since my Droid X. The Bionic, stunk in my opinion, between its signal issues, and then the release of the first Razr.

The Nexus is the first phone that I'm actually satisfied with and one that doesn't have me sitting and looking, or waiting to see what is next on the horizon.

You took the words right outta my mouth! We've had the same device history. I did like my charge though. I was pissed when I got my bionic then the razr released. :banghead:

The tbolt was a clunker. Huge and heavy. The nexus is a feather compared to it. So was the charge, nice n light

I liked my Charge for the most part. I did not and do not care for TouchWhiz though.

I know that I'm in the minority regarding my opinion on Motorola and their mobile products. But, in my opinion their quality control has flown out the window. I feel like they are more interested in cranking out product after product after product rather than producing quality products.

The Xoom was the final straw for me. Hell they had the Xyborg ie Xoom 2 ready for release even before they had honored commitment to upgrade the original Xoom to LTE (which several months behind schedule.)

If you had signal issues, I don't blame you for going back. For me, signal is good but not great, with the occasional data drops. Usually turning off mobile data and turning back on will solve it. This is quick to do from the notification widget with CNA.

As for the other issues, the profiles and desktop charger, they are solvable. Tasker and Touchstone mod.

Loving my GNex.

This phone in general has poor signal compared to other phones. I dont own a Charge but this does not surprise me in the slightest based upon my experience with other 4G devices. I've used the Charge (demo phone at work) and in general it seems to be mediocre signal wise. I never really compared it to my GNexus because I only brought the GNex to work twice because the phone gets almost NO signal at work so I didn't see the point.

I keep reading that in places but in my experience it has the BEST reception of the 4G cadre in my stable.

EDIT: By "it" I meant the Bionic.

To the OP thanks for sharing your experience with us I think it is great when people make decisions for themselves not just what others tell them they should have.
