I've been happy with my Nexus but I am wondering whether the Droid Charge might be better for me.

The two phones have the same processor and RAM. However I read that the file system on the Charge hurts its benchmark scores.

I don't care about benchmarks, but does the file system affect the speed of the device and its 3D performance?

The main reasons I want the Charge is the SAMOLED+ and LTE. Battery life also seems better on the Charge.

What do you think?

if you are a gamer then yes the file system maybe a bit laggy compared. but some voodoo magic will fix that , its just a matter of time. if you do not know what voodoo lag fix is , it turns the rfs files system into ext4 which is faster.

As a daily driver the Charge has plenty of hardware behind it to do pretty much whatever you like. As DroidXcon said, after some tweaking has been done then it should be a beast and the file system won't be an issue.

Thanks. I don't really game so it might not be an issue. I will go check out the Charge at the store today.

Make sure you do a nice reboot on it. When I was messing with the demo. It was so laggy and not fast at all. Then realized there was about 40x widgets and about 25 different things running. After the reboot and a kill of some tasks it was good to go. Now if the FEDEX guy would hurry his ass up.
