***I might be the only person in this country who never rooted or did anything of the kind and yet still can't update to Sense 5. I'm stuck on the preliminary update, that 14mb one. I did everything, including a factory reset, but every time I try to update to Sense 5, the phone starts updating than aborts and leaves me in the stock recovery, saying something about a failed assert and that the update was aborted. I feel so frustrated that I can't even enjoy Sense 5. Searched everywhere but nobody seems to have had this issue.***
I didn't have the exact same problem but could not fully receive the update on my wifi even though I know wifi was working. I turned off wifi and and within minutes the update loaded. Try turning off wifi and use mobile data. Seems crazy but it worked for me.

Verizon said they're sending me a replacement
Bummer. Hopefully the CLNR will be a good one with no problems of its own.
Did anybody do a factory reset after update to help with battery life.. mine is draining a lot faster than before wanting to know if this will help the update settle in.

Hmmm,
I'm seeing the opposite. My battery seems a bit better on Sense 5/4.2.2.

My Hangouts app is constantly crashing after the update, also pictures texted to me will not work in the hangout app now either. Uninstalled hangouts back to talk and went back to the OE text app for now hoping for a fix!
I was having problems with that before the update so I stopped using it..

So I just noticed that since the download....My lock screen say 10 attempts or device data will be deleted????? Wtf is this????

For those of you who haven't been able to get the update yet I would have to say, I'm a day and a half in and I'm not too impressed. I don't want to sound negative but in some ways I liked the previous version better.
Couple things I've noticed:
-I always thought my DNA was pretty quick so I can't say I see an improvement in speed.
-I don't like the new lock screen which is pretty limited, maybe it's just me but I liked the unlock ring and the weather lock screen and they're both gone. Can't seem to customize the theme either. Feels like they took a step back there.
-So far my battery life has drained pretty quick both days.
-You can't cycle back around through the screens it hits the end and you have to go back.
Like I said, I don't like being negative but so far the update isn't awesome.

I notice an improvement in the speed of the phone. It does seem to be draining my battery faster. Better battery stats shows the kernel as the main drain. I use nova launcher so I only see changes in the lock-screen, built in apps, and notification bar. I do have blink feed running. It's interesting but the novelty may wear off.

I still haven't gotten any of the updates is there anything I can do to get this damn update I'm getting anxious.
I don't know why I haven't gotten it yet I'm seeing pretty much everyone else got that **** yesterday.
Phone is smoother, faster. Battery life is looking good, but need more time to assess.

That shouldn't happen at all, before or after the update. I get them weekly here now before the update (and we'll AFTER the update that was supposed to fix them).
