Droid Does Contest Counter: Timer & Waiting Room

Re: droiddoes.com/bionic - input codes?

1. Remember back in the day the ilovebees online campaign for Halo 2. That is what I was thinking would happen for the Bionic.

2. I am leaning more towards the Bionic now that the Prime is going to be a Droid instead of a Nexus.

Re: droiddoes.com/bionic - input codes?

Pretty sure it's just going to 'unlock' the main bionic flash thing that will look like the thing for every other droid phone on that site. Someone in another recent thread was kind enough to sort through the code so you can listen to the pointless audio of it if you so choose. Yep.. didn't even give a link, you gotta do your own homework :)

Re: Bionic on Droid Does now

If you click on the level 2 access it changes the small window on the left. It says something about 4 days and Droid Bionic Arena Sweepstakes. Like a giveaway similar to what VZW did with the Charge?

Passwords For DroidDoes Website

Am I the only one out there trying to crack the passwords? C'mon, lets start a thread on it and see if we can do it w/o the bloggers! I saw elsewhere someone say they looked at the coding for the site and that the codes weren't activated on Verizon's end yet but I think hes full of it... its a flash app, not that easy to just go poking around in it.

anyway I have what I think might be two leads. One is this:
ODDREE.COM: Cracking the "DROID CODE"

its a letter chart from the droid X, I don't know if Verizon kept the same cipher this time around or if they're even using a cypher but I've tried typing in the names of blogs into their respective password slots after running the names of the blogs through the cipher (i.e. android central = qdtheyt sudjhqb) with no luck. maybe one of you wants to expand on this.

The second lead:
I'm kind of pissing in the dark on this one but if you head on over to the droid does site and get to the page with all the passwords, look in the top right corner for the little drop down menu of "level 2" then mouse over it and click DROIDCHARGELANDING. It takes you to a page with an identical Password page as for the bionic except there is asterisks typed there. was that password already figured out? if so I cant seem to find anything on it on Google. Maybe finding out what that password was/is will give us a clue?

lets see if we cant beat them at their own game! post what you've tried here already so we don't all sit here trying it too and make sure you post your ideas, one of us may see it and take it and run with it!

re: The Droid Does Page Countdown Waiting Room

Thing is this only a countdown to the start of the contest or a countdown to when we can finally preorder this darned thing.

I'm hoping it's the latter.. I remember eagerly awaiting news of the Etna version of this phone from the CES. To say the least it has been a long haul and the finish line is in sight!

Re: Passwords For DroidDoes Website

Flash applications can be decompiled fairly easily. As long as the actual verification logic is on the client side, there is always a way to look at it.

Yes.

You will get nothing for "cracking" it.. just a video/flash thing about the bionic. Sit tight, it will be unlocked tomorrow at noon or so probably anyway.

The Level 2 thing has been around for a while... there was a code you could enter that would give you 4 absolutely meaningless screenshots (it was a 6 digit number)... your first lead is a little more promising though. It probably is some kind of cypher again. Good catch.

yea but were sitting here on forums talking about blah stuff, dont you think it would be funnier to crack it and have your name immortalized on the interwebz and in court records from the impending legal action from verizon for making them look like boneheads?

re: The Droid Does Page Countdown Waiting Room

Yay now everyone can stop making totally pointless threads and just post in here, right?

;)

Re: Passwords For DroidDoes Website

@Fable332 thanks :) you wouldn't happen to know what that password was would you? or the 6 digits were?

No.

Something I've been wondering as well.

I'm defense going to get the bionic but it really had me thinking, why am I paying an extra 100 when the sg2 might even turn out to be a better phone.

LTE and the phones are equivalent in specs. Just comes down to opinion. If you want GPS, strong signal, and a phone that works like a phone, go with Moto.
