Me too - anyone know what the expected capacity is for the slim extended droid battery from Seidio? My guess would be 1700 or 1750
If it were coming, it would've already been here. I don't believe we'll ever see a slim extended Droid battery.
totally agree. It's been "under development" for far too long. They just don't wanna admit they can't figure out how to squeeze any more juice into the same size.
Possibly... but they pushed out the slim extended for the Nexus One and even the Droid Eris already.

I've used a OEM extended life and standard battery on my BB for years and have had no issues at all and they last as long as the branded version. Also, the OEm standard for the Droid is about $10.

Seido Slim Extended Battery
Its official, Bad News, that extended slim Battery is NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
wish they had said this like 1 month ago. I Just ordered the big bulky battery from Amazon. This both sucks and blows.
Check it out yourself. It has just upped and disappeared from the Seido site.
PS. Seido online no longer offers the 2600mAh for 64$ instead it has created a 2800 and made it 69$.

The battery you mention is the one that has been available for some time. Seidio used to have a notice "coming soon" for a slim extended life battery. Since it was on the same page as the 1350mah battery it was implied that "extended" meant more than 1350 at the same size.
Many skeptics (including me) didn't think it was possible to have more than 1350 in a battery that would still fit the stock cover. And... we were losing faith in the "coming soon" message. Now, any mention of a slim battery with anything more than 1350mah has been unceremoniously removed from Seidio's website.
Wow... I was really looking forward to that. I guess my Droid will never have the battery life of my Blackberry's.
I shouldn't expect it to though, considering all the things that it does, which clearly soars above what a blackberry can do... yet.... I still want to be able to go away for a weekend and have no need for a charger, even if I'm slamming on the phone both days.
Oh well. Perhaps another vendor will create something?

well whats the stock battery ? isnt it something like 500 mAH ? 1350 gives you at least a little more juice right ?
Go with the 2600mAh Seidio and live in bliss. It adds a whole 1/4" to the phone's thickness, not even worth crying about.
The standard battery is 1300 mAH. You are probably thinking of the processor/clock speed, 550 MHz.
Can you post some photos, please? The photos I've seen make the phone look huge with the Seido battery.
