Droid Incredible caught on fire!!! pictures....

For the next test (and a timely one at that), strap it to a few fireworks and set off. Bonus points if you figure out a way to do it by call/email/SMS!

Ouch. That sucks man. But it speaks well to the durability of the phone. Nice post.

You definitely need to reach out to the Marketing Department at HTC with that one... wouldn't be at all surprised if you got a new mint phone out of them.

i dont want to risk that with my phone...my phone would more than likely go out and i'll end up crying to verizon with them looking at me like i'ma dumb ass. but thats whats up it still working and all. god must have been on your side

That is actually pretty amazing... probably the first impressive thing I've seen from an HTC phone. :-P. (joking!)

Last time I dropped my Droid, it jumped back up and broke me instead.

impressive!

makes me feel even better about my incredible and it's no nice to be a part of a forum that appreciates it for the great phone that it is;)

New article on Gizmodo/Engadget: The iPhone would have survived this better.

Yes, but can it make phone calls? I'd be willing to bet that even this barbecued incredible gets better reception than the iphone 4.

Eh you know iPhone has antenna issues and can't make calls, Incredible survives a fire and still works....which phone do you want?

They should rename it to the droid Vader

I built a bonfire at the beach.

It fell out of my pocket, and someone called about 10 minutes after the fire was started. Ripped the fire apart to find it about ~200 degrees and half melted away screen first in the sand. Pulled the battery out and let it cool down for about an hour. Powered up first try and could make calls, surf the web, ect.

Everything still works, but I dont recommend trying this at home :)

 I love my phone

My Incredible was thrown of a deck and onto the street with considerable force. The back cover was on the near side of the road, the phone ended up in the middle of the far lane of traffic, and the battery was behind a parked car across the street. I thought it was trash for sure. I put it together and aside from a dent in the case and a couple slightly bent battery connector pins the phone worked perfectly. Amazing. Love my Incredible.
