Droid Incredible Froyo Problem? Pausing Audio?

Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere, but I couldn't find a specific thread on the topic. Ever since the Froyo OTA update, I've had a lot of issues dealing with pausing audio tracks. I've noticed problems with the default HTC audio player, and two podcast programs - ACast and BeyondPod. Essentially, where these programs would previously (in Eclair) remember where in an audio track they left off, they don't now (in Froyo). BeyondPod and the HTC player will hold it while I'm in the program but forget when I exit (it would previously continue to remember even after exiting, although the HTC player wouldn't remember after a restart). ACast won't remember at all. A few mentions of this issue are in the following threads:

My question is...could there be some sort of corrupt part of the Droid Incredible Froyo Update that pertains to the command all these programs (presumably) use to pause tracks? Has anyone else experienced this problem on any audio-related program? As best I can tell, this only seems to be an issue for DInc users with Froyo.

Same thing happened to me. I used to be able to use the GPS function and listen to music at the same time. After the update, the music pauses every time the GPS speaks. I haven't found a solution.

they probably thought it would be an improvement not to have audio on top of audio, so now each sound is solo. Changes like that i dont mind but give us the option please.

Does the music resume from where it left off after the GPS speaks? Or does it go back to the beginning of the track?

It resumes where I left off. I have to exit navigation, restart the song and then go back to navigation. It repeats every time the Navigation lady speaks. Kind of a pain because I like to hear the navigation directions through my car speakers.

On 2.1 it wasn't audio over audio. The navigation voice would come and mute the music and the music would resume when the navigation voice stopped. For me, that was perfect.

It sounds like a different issue than the one I'm struggling with. I don't use the navigation that often, so haven't noticed that problem. For me, it's not so much that the audio track pauses as much as it not actually resuming where it left off when I press play (rather, it restarts from the beginning of the track it was playing). The music not resuming automatically after the Navigation Voice does sound annoying though.

I just got the Incredible and noticed the pausing audio issue the first time I tried to play a podcast with ACast. I otherwise love the phone, but this is a serious problem. Interestingly, the music player app has no trouble pausing and resuming audio.

Any insight on timeline for a fix or potential workarounds would be highly appreciated.

You are more fortunate than me. We have two Incredibles in my family and both stopped saving the spot in the music player app.

FYI, this is the workaround that has worked for me for over a week now without fail:
