Droid Incredible Shipping?

by the way things are trending... I'm thinking 6/6's and 6/7's will start seeing confirmations today or tomorrow. Let's hope.
Talked to a CSR and she said my ship date still stands at the 28th...(today) pshhh ... ya right....

I doubt you will see that happening. I am a 6/4 order, just got off the phone with CSR and mine still has not shipped. She confirmed the " incredible backorders are running at least 5 days late from original quoted delivery dates.". So she told me I may get my 6/4 order by the end of the week. She also did say they are offering the Droid X pre-order to those who have Dinc backorders. Why would I want to wait even longer for my phone? So I for those 6/5 and beyond people, I wouldn't count on shipping info today.
 
There is no way. Ive seen only ONE 6/5 that has gotten confirmation.

I've seen quite a few 6/5's get their confs on other forums... And i've seen a bunch of 6/3's still waiting...

sooo who the frik knows? :oI'm just looking at the trends... and i'm hoping to see a conf on or before wed.

Either way... keep updating everyone... This place is seriously more reliable then our lovely CSR's.;)
 
Just hung up the phone w/VZW.

I'm a 6/6 order. Promised ship date of 6/28 and the rep told me it 'should' ship by the 30th. Person didn't really sound like she knew what she was talking about.

I asked if I would be able to cancel if I find a dinc locally (a best buy near here shows they have them in stock - calling when it opens). She said to simply call and cancel and it will take 72 hrs to process.

I honestly have a hard time getting mad about all of this so maybe I'm not pushing it enough.

You don't have to really get mad, just pretend, use the word unacceptable, that word got me a 7 month early upgrade, plus a total of $85 off the cost of the phone. Also once they are done apologizing, say something like not notifying me of the shipping delay is not the way to run a business, what are you going to do to make me a satisfied customer. Then when they offer you free minutes, say that is not enough they call a supervisor and you get a service credit.
 
2 New Things...

I help manage the cell phones at our organization. We got a new Verizon Wireless Sales Rep a few weeks ago. She came in last Friday (6/25) and brought in one of the data plan consultants for our area. He had a lot of good to say about the Incredible (he had one with him too). He also told us that Verizon is actually offering customers (probably not unless you ask for it) the option to get a Droid X if you have an order in and are still waiting for the Incredible.

He also told us that HTC is re-manufacturing the Incredibles with a Super LCD screen instead of the AMOLED from Samsung (which is the cause of the shortage). He wasn't sure when they will start shipping but they are expecting that this will fix the problem with the shortage. Right now HTC is only able to manufacture 50,000 units per day.

Hope this helps...doesn't make your order ship any faster but good to know!

On a side note... if I'm considering switching to the DroidX when it comes out but was wondering whether or not if I do if my apps would be transferable without having to rebuy anything. Also, will the DroidX be on pre-order again like the Inc? I'd hate to have to wait another month for it... If I can just go on release day and get it switched then and there then I will be happy!
 
Rep said no phones are shipping out till the end of July at the earliest!!! I need a replacement Incredible and this is not good news.

I am doing the same. I figure if I go to my local store on release day I should be fine as far as them having enough in that i can trade em out on the spot.

The week of that the 15th falls on I will not be able to get off of work early or come in later to get it swapped so I may have to wait until later that night and call and have one held for me from the guy I ordered in store. That day I ordered two moto droids and an incredible so he got a nice kick from that I'm sure so he can owe me. :p

Lol understood, I put in for paid time off on the 15th and then took the 16th and 17th off as well!

was told i'd have it in hand 6/25
was not offered overnight shippinig

i called on 6/25 and was told my phone would definitely ship on friday but no tracking number yet. i asked about the 5 day delay and i was then told that all orders that were to be shippined on 6/28 would be delayed 5 days but that since mine was shipping on friday it didn't affect it. well no tracking number and i just called and was told my order is affected and it would not ship until wednesday. no it couldn't be canceled. no i couldn't get a free upgrade in shipping and no i couldn't get a credit for my account. after much attitude i asked for a manager and the rep told me that they can credit my account for $20. oh and on my cirrent bill they charged me for the upgraded data service even though i didn't revceive my order yet and i specifically asked and made sure that wouldn't happen. she did get those extra charges off of my bil but the whole thing was with a LOT of attitude. so not getting my phone until firday....supposedly

OK, now that ^ would piss me off. Time to talk to a supervisor's supervisor. Attitude is unacceptable.
 
I remember being told that fedex doesnt have to send out tracking numbers to verizon til 4pm. So it may be a bit too early yet.
 
Order 6/3 early morning on the internet.
Estimated delivery 6/24
Email tracking received 6/25 around 6PM MST
Overnight shipping and since it is on a Saturday delivery date of 6/28
FedEx will deliver today and it is in transit

So I should have it by the time I get off work today.

rep said there is no tracking number but the phone should still ship today.
