Droid Incredible Shipping?

Ordered through the store on 5/14, cancelled and ordered through eBay yesterday. Should get here tomorrow!
 
I ordered my Incredible in South Carolina at the VZW store on 5/11. The sales rep told me that I would definitely have it by 5/29 BUT I would probably get it a week before that. I have tried to track my order, but it says there isn't any record of my order number. When I call VZW customer service they tell me that it has been processed, but I won't be able to check the status of my order until the item has shipped... seems weird to me, but whatever. Has anyone be able to track their order that ordered it in the store? Also, for those of you that have been reading this forum, like me for the past week, and don't feel like making a username, go to my blog and leave an comment (you don't have to join to leave a comment) letting me know if you got your phone or if you know how to track a phone that was purchased at the VZW store. I know most people have brought up these same things already, but I figured I'd let you know about my experiences. I wasn't avail for annual upgrade till 5/13 but they let me upgrade on 5/10 to go ahead and get in the queue. The original salesperson told me the official company line at the time was by 5/29 but that his friend got his in a few days. He said that east coast warehouses were getting quicker turnaround than west coast warehouses.

Every time I have called back since I literally would get a different answer to what the status really was. You could tell in the first 2-3 words of the conversation if it was even a CSR that even knew how to check the status. Finally yesterday I got this horribly snippy lady that told me it would be 5/26 and wouldn't say anything else. I asked her to double check for a tracking number and she reiterated the date. I told her that since you guys already took my $267 dollars or whatever it was that I had the right to check as much as I wanted...

Needless to say I was hot after speaking to her so I immediately called back to speak to a supervisor and got a really nice lady that told me a little more into what was going on over there. We all had guessed that the CSRs really knew nothing and that they were talking out of their a**es. She told me that they had a memo sent to all the CSRs yesterday with the shipping dates updated for each date that you had ordered and that each incredible order was upgraded in shipping to include Saturday shipping (as mentioned earlier in this thread).

Then again 5 minutes after getting off the phone with her, someone on here claims to have gotten their phone already ordering one day before me. So who knows! I know we are all impatient to get the phone, but it will be here soon enough. I just wish that Verizon/HTC/Samsung could at least get their stories straight. I can respect you if you tell me "theres a delay in parts that has pushed orders back." Ok cool, at least you told me. Don't give me some answer you thought up on your own though. It's bad form...
 
I work for Fedex and if you leave a signed note on the first attempt or a note to leave with a neighbor we will do that. We also carry plastic bags or you can leave one or a rubbermaid container etc to put it in if you are exposed to the weather. Here's the best part, I just ordered mine yesterday and I cover the area I live in so I will be delivering to myself but it looks like the first week in June for me at the earliest.:cool:

So assuming my phone arrives on 5/29- If I leave a note on the door saying my sister or parents will sign for it if I'm out that day, that's ok?

I agree - It's easy to blame any of those 3 companies, but they all probably had a part in the delay. Also, I know we are all impatient to get the phone, especially hearing how great it is from other people. As you said, if they all would just stick to the same story and tell the truth, I would be fine with it and be able to just let it go. But when the store rep tells you "usually people have been getting it in a couple days", then you call CSR and they tell you something completely different, its def. off-putting. Anyone home can sign for it essentially. It doesn't have to be you, just as long as somebody is home. My concerns are usually that I'm 99% of the time, the only one at my home during FedEx delivery hours.
 
Ordered replacement 5/12 via VZW Customer Service. Promised to ship on 5/28. Haven't heard anything yet.

I agree with this completely after i have read the entire thread. I ordered my Inc. on the 15th in store and havent received anything. I was thinking that they forgot about my order completely. i have sent an email to CS online last night but havent gotten a reply..im having trouble waiting too haha, ive been watching videos of the incredible for 3 days and have been checking forums and reading reviews. i need my fix of the incredible :p
 
Wait it's only been 4 days and you are expecting it already? The EARLIEST it would have gotten to you in a NORMAL environment would be today........

I just left AT&T actually, so I went to a Verizon store, got a Motorola Droid on a new 2 year plan, transferred my number from AT&T, and told them I'll be activating my Incredible in a couple days. I'm either going to sell the Droid or give it to my brother for a birthday present. (That's how I'm getting the NE2 and the 100 rebate) - just getting it for a different phone. The Incredible will be the same, just not have the return policy that I would have gotten if I kept my in-store order. Kind of a unique situation though.

I was told Verizon ships their phone's over night. (Assuming the same day the order is placed.) That would be 2 days total in a normal environment. :)

That's not true, if he ordered 5/15 - it's free overnight shipping. They could have put it on a truck on Sunday and it would've been there Monday or Tuesday by the latest if it was shipped out Monday. (I know, I know, only 1 or 2 days earlier, but it makes a difference)

They don't ship on Saturday or Sunday. One day to process if you order on the phone. Monday., Tues., Wen..........Even in over night the earliest would have been Tuesday. Also when you placed the order there was a will be there by date. 6/8 currently so your phone will be there between 5/17 - 6/8. Tough luck bud.
 
I understand that there is a "be there by date" but you said "in a NORMAL environment", which is what I was explaining. I have also gotten accesories put onto a truck on a Sunday night before for a Monday delivery.
 
Actually I ordered my phone as well on May 15, 2010 and I was quoted Jun 3rd, 2010 as the latest day I would receive my phone.

But I honestly don't think it's going to take that long.

Soooo, May 17 - Jun 3rd.
