Droid Incredible Shipping?

Ordered over the phone: 7/22
Expected ship date: 8/03
Actual ship date: 7/28

It should be showing up on my doorstep on Friday. Not to bad.

I finally took the plunge and am switching from a Blackberry Storm 2 to the Incredible. I ordered it online last night 7/27 and received an email this evening that it shipped today and should arrive on 7/30.

Really? I ordered it online 7/25 and have yet to receive anything. I mean that's awesome for you but I'm wondering what's going on with mine.

Judging by the other posts, it looks like their up to 7/23 online orders, so I anticipated getting a shipping email this Saturday, 7/31.
 
It appears that the backorders have been caught up. Just curious, I may have missed the post, but did daethwing188 ever get his phone, or is he still being passed over? ;)

He got his too I remembering reading when he posted it came on the same day,he was going on a trip but had it to take with him .:)

It does seem odd to me as well. When I ordered it the website said shipping on 8/3. I did need to call them regarding a payment issue for the phone so i'm thinking that when I got that straightened out that they sent it in to the warehouse for shipping. I just checked my tracking and it says it's on the Fedex vehicle for delivery so I guess I am getting it today! :D

Shipped on 7/27, didn't receive notification but had to call in for the information
Delivered 7/29, just now!

Are you guys ready for this: Today I call back Customer Service and get to the bottom of this whole ugly sordid mess. It seems that my order was automatically canceled on the 5th of July because the order was never completed. (being the that the difference of my $175 debit transaction and the rest of the amount that was supposed to be charged to my account was never processed). However the $175 debit was never refunded to me, now remember that I have been calling *611 every day since last Thursday and have been told that my ship date was the 28th of July by every rep that I spoke with.

So the CS rep tells me that there is nothing more that she can do and that I'll have to go into the store and redo my whole order. She credited my account for $100 dollars and apologized for my inconvenience.

I then head to the store and proceed to redo my order with the store manager, he wants to keep the $175 and do the transaction over again. he disappears for about 30 mins and comes back to tell me that he couldn't do the transaction that way and that Verizon was sending me a check for the $175 and that I should get the money back in 7to10 business days.

So he does the whole transaction over and then I ask him about the $25 credit that I was promised for the back order delay when I ordered, he discounted my phone another $25 and finished the order. I told him I wanted the 16GB micro SD card for free and he said no way to that because of the $100 account credit and the $25 discount to the phone. I told him that the account credit and $25 dollar discount were for separate reasons so he offered 25% of on the purchase of the SD card. So my phone will ship overnight by 8/4.

Wish me luck.

Is it wrong that I am sitting in the front room staring out the window waiting for the FedEx guy? I am so flippin excited it's coming today.
 
Got my phone yesterday with the 2150 battery direct from Verzion/HTC and it's amazing. The phone actually feels better with the bigger battery!

That is completely ridiculous. You would think that they would at least let you know that the order has been canceled. It seems like the reps overlook a lot of important things. I've also been calling about my order every day since I was told it was "reordered" on the 21st. Yesterday the rep said it would be shipped within the next couple days.

Today I called and the rep noticed something was wrong with the order. Turns out that on the 21st, when a supervisor supposedly reordered the phone for me, the old order was actually canceled and no new order was put in. Somehow not a single one of the 10 or so reps I've spoken with until today noticed that I did not actually have a current order! To top it off, the man today told me that when they ordered the phone originally, they must have put in the wrong number and ordered an X by mistake. Again, none of the reps noticed that the order was for the wrong phone.

On the upside, the rep that helped me today was very helpful. He not only caught both of these problems that no one else (including supervisors) had noticed before, but he reordered the correct phone for me with overnight shipping. He said it should be here by 12 on Saturday. So while most of my CS experience with Verizon has been very much less than stellar, this guy was definitely good at what he does.
