I can't wait till mine gets here. When I talked to the rep on the phone the other day she said they were working on all orders through 6/21 for the "earlier list". She double-checked the advance list, which was awful nice of her, but sadly my 6/28 order just didn't make the cut. Looks like I'm waiting till 7/28ish.

I don't know how you guys could be so patient. It'd be one thing if no one could order the phone and we all had to wait; but you guys ordered the phone a little less than a month ago and just now are getting it.... crazy

I keep checking this site hoping to see ppl with purchase dates closer to mine getting their tracking numbers so often, that my wife has started yelling at me for being obsessed with this phone. I just tell her that once its in my hands, everything will be fine.
A. really no other option as it was the only phone I liked of Verizon's smart phone line up, announced or otherwise
B. This thread has helped ease the pain immensely... knowing SO many others are going through the same thing helps more than you think

Trust me, its not really patience when you have no choice in the matter lol. Its the best phone Verizon offers and there was no other way to get one at the price i was offered ($99).
If i dont hear anything by Friday i might try my luck at calling CS for one of those $25 gift cards they were sending out....

It shows a shipping date of 8/2 but it keeps changing(it was 8/10 2 days ago) so I'm hoping it'll come sooner. Either way I can't wait to get rid of this POS Tour.

A. I think the DroidX is pretty sweet too, I just don't trust Motorola as much as I have faith in HTC. The 512mb of ROM don't hurt either.

My sympathies friend, my sympathies. The wait will grind upon your soul until nothing remains. Hopefully HTC will be putting out the Sony superLCD and Samsung AMOLED models quickly enough that the que dies down. I'm also praying that more people drop their VZW orders for AmazonWireless orders so the cue shortens up.
HUZZAH! I should go sweet talk the vzw rep again to see if there's an updated shipping manifest. Again, when I last spoke to the woman, there was a list of numbers who had ordered on or before 6/21 that were placed on an expedited list and set to receive their phones before the promised ship date. If you're a 6/22 then perhaps a new list hath been drafted.

This is a bit late but my phone was delivered the 13th but I wasnt home and I got it the 14th. This phone is bad*ss. Streaming pandora through the car speakers is ridiculous. I wish I could figure out how to use all the cool features because I am sure I am not even tapping into this things capabilities just yet... Its definitely worth the wait guys! I was thinking about getting the droid x with my 30 day trial period but I think this one fits my needs just right. The camera is great as well!
Called *611 late last night after seeing all of these 6/21 orders...lo and behold, my DrInc was shipped yesterday via overnight!! now, just need to make sure the wife catches FedEx...I've had issues with them leaving delivery notices even when we've been home...

I ordered via brick-and-mortar but I can't really speak as to the email notification as I haven't received mine yet. I have been told by two separate people in VZW that I will be receiving the notification as soon as it ships.
