Droid Management on the cheap

I run a very small school (about 30 students). We are looking into purchasing and deploying droid tablets to our students in the fall, however management software is lacking to say the least. If anyone can point out any and I do mean any ideas or methods to control students from installing their own apps, as well as, having the ability to deploy school apps in mass I would appreciate it. The cheaper the better, I do not mind having to do a lot of manual stuff as our budget is very very tight.

Thanks

I don't mean to be rude, but a Droid is a smartphone. What is a Droid tablet? Never heard of it.

DROID Xyboard is a WiFi tablet with access to Verizon's 4G LTE network.

:)

The OP is probably just incorrectly calling all Android devices "Droids".

Yep, made a mistake. I appreciate the smugness from the first reply, though.
