I can't wait for this new Kit Kat update. I am hoping the low light improvement to the camera pans out. I'm kind of obsessed with it as I am constantly checking here and the Moto X forums for news.

DROID MAXX: 4.4.2 update?

With the last two OTAs the Maxx has started a soak test about 4-6 weeks after the first OTA update to the Moto X, and after all of the US carriers have updated their X. We're still waiting for the AT&T and Verizon Moto X to get 4.4.2. (Maybe Sprint too?)
If history repeats that suggests that you can relax a bit and really start looking in about 3 weeks or so.

I thought I read that sprint was already getting the update. Not sure about AT&T and I am on Verizon so... I think if there wasn't so much damn snow around here and constantly being stuck inside, it wouldnt be so bad. I enjoy taking pics of outdoor scenes more than indoor low light scenes. I think the camera is decent but the pictures I have seen with the Moto X camera update look much better in low light.

Thats awesome!! I seriously cant remember when the last time when my phone had the latest version of android was. Hopefully Ill be one of the lucky ones to get a soak invite.

Exactly, theres no reason why the software would differ from what we have already seen on the Xs update. That would further slow things down from them updating it for the Droids.

I like the blue icons too. That way you can see if you are actually connected to the Internet or not. The gray ones don't change color when you lose connectivity. I hate that! My connection comes and goes all the time, so I really like knowing.

I've read on XDA that you can disable the MotorolaOTA app and that will stop the phone from looking for updates.
