Droid on Alltel network?

Not sure if this is the the right place to post this. But my friend has a
Verizon droid, activated on the Alltel network, but his MMS doesnt work. Is there any way to get to work? Willing to try anything at the moment, cause he really loves the phone.

Switch to Verizon price plan. I had a customer with the same problem, but had an older America's Choice plan. That was the fix. For some reason on the droid verizon's goal was to get everyone that wanted one to be on the Nationwide calling plans. Even though most times before they never cared unless it was what they call a multimedia phone.

Chance are that the billing will go up, but at least they can use the phone fully.

I would have your friend talk to Alltel/Verizon support and see what the problem is. I think Alltel and Verizon merged some time ago, and your friend may have to switch to a "Verizon" branded plan to get all services working.
