Droid Razr How to hear text come in while on a calll

please help. how do i fix it so i can hear a beep or something go off, so i know a text came in while i'm on the phone with someone?

You should by default, at least I do on my X2. I get a beep when I get any notification while on a call, be it a calendar event, a text, etc.

What kind of phone do you have?
