Droid Razr Maxx Text Message Problem

Hey guys,
So i got a razr maxx about a week ago. And i'm having some problems with texting. When i'm in a group conversation with about 5 people, their texts arrive to my phone in bulk. So basically my phone recieves about 10 messages in a span of five seconds. My friends actually send the messages a couple minutes before. Does anybody know whats wrong?

Guessing there might be a network issue... did you try calling VZW and asking them?

***EDIT: Also, are they on VZW or a different provider??? I know there are issues with different networks and SMS messages.

If anyone is with a different carriers you have that issue. I had that with mine.
