DROID Shadow pre-release thread

If its truly motorola, I would put money on it that it runs moto blur. I think it kinda like their answer to HTC sense. its their thing, just not mine.

Oh wow, 'Bill23' over on HOFO says the Shadow's specs will smoke the Incredible. But the Moto device coming late this year will make the Shadow look like a toy.

Are any of these new Moto devices coming to Sprint or T-Mobile?

Sprint has the Evo coming which looks awesome, but I would really prefer a sliding keyboard. If Motorola has a superphone with a keyboard heading for either Sprint's 4G or T-Mobile's HSPA+, I would probably wait for it instead of getting the Evo.

So it seems the official name is EXTREME. This fits since we're going from Incredible to Extreme.

I am hearing the shadow in June and the droid 2 in october. This is from phandroid:

here is a few facts on droid2. it is slightly more rounded edges, the open chin on the current droid vs the droid2 is the same, but the face of the droid2 chin is equal lentgh.this means the exposed chin on the current droid is open vs the droid2 chin is now part of the face slider.
also the 4 soft keys are moved around just a tad.same location but the menu button isnt the 4 dash's. its like the devours 4 squares.
the 5 way nav is gone and replaced with 4 arrows in the keypad. this allowed the keypad to be biggerfor fat fingers like mine.
the camera is 5mp HD and the phone looks nothing like the pic above. not even close. it looks very close to the current droid just evovled a tad.the power, volume, cam keys are now flusg soft touch and not so obvious like the current droid is.

hope this helps.

If it uses the 4 squares for the menu icon instead of the 4 lines the DROID uses, than that leads me to believe it runs Blur, right? Isn't that the icon MotoBlur phones use?

I'm worried about the Moto Blur on this device. I would rather have vanilla Android on it. BLUR has ne'er impressed me.

so how does this processor compare to the 1ghz snapdragon. i'm trying to decide if this is worth waiting for versus the htc incredible. i was hoping it would have a keyboard but with that thickness it seems unlikely.

Looks like a nice phone but I'm stickin with my Droid at least until next year when LTE phones start releasing.
