Let's see this processor is better than the one in the current crop of HTC phones it will turn out the same numbers while using less power and producing less heat. Now lets not forget the snapdragon is barely making a case for is barely making a case for its self when you put it next to the 3440. Until the 45nm versions of the snapdragon comes out I fear its just over rated. Oh and lets not forget the omap 3440 does still have a better gpu than the current crop and the 3630 gpu is clocked higher
Anyone know of an anticipated release date?? i.e., in the next 30 days?
Damn - I just bought a Droid this week (new Verizon customer due to the ATT iPhone) and then come home from VZW to see the rumors about the Shadow. I would like to see the Shadow in final form but it looks like now it's going to be July/August before rollout - well outside of my 30 day window. Guess I could always sell the Droid and buy it at full retail.
Guys, this thing doesnt even have a snapdragon. It has a 700MHz ARM processor . The larger screen and HDMI are nice, but in a year or so down the road you will probably want the better processor.
I'm still very happy with my Inc, and the Shadow doesn't look to change that
The processor in the Shadow IS the better processor. It uses less power, with less heat, and significantly better performance than the current QSD processors in the HTCs. (check out the Quadrant mobile app; the performance of the Shadow is at least twice that of the Droid Incredible)
You guys really need to understand that clock speed these days does not indicate a platform's total performance. Even though the Shadow's processor 'only' has 720 MHz, it is as fast, if not faster, than any current Snapdragon smartphone.
He speaks the truth. Its no contest. Its too bad alot of people don't understand how this works and will not get the phone with the better processor only because of the numbers.
Well it looks like the shadow wont have blur all of Motorola's droud branded devices labeled phones will have stock android
