Anybody getting less than 3 hours SOT on this phone has a dud. It seems like the same few people on these forums have been getting abnormally low numbers since the beginning. If it's not a rogue app or terrible signal, then I'm starting to think there's a hardware issue for some. This phone works as advertised for me.

Agreed, after my factory data reset, I'll report back with hopes it improves.

I'm at 53% with 2 hours SOT and almost 2 hours phone calls after 14 hours off my charger. If I can get 4 hours SOT over the course of 30 hours or so, I'm totally content with that. With that type of efficiency, I'll never have to worry about charging mid way through the day, and I'm happy to charge my phone every night. I just don't want to worry about running out of juice in the middle of the day, and since October I've never once had to do that. That's basically what I had with the Maxx and the T1.

I'm at 49% with 1h 6m of sot. Sometimes I will get closer to two hours of sot before getting to 50% I gave up trying to get much better. I get through the day with the phone so I'm over all content but I do wish it could get better.

I'm at 26%. 17 hours off charger. Just under 4 hours of SOT. 2 1/2 hours of calls. This is average for me. I charge my phone every night but never have to worry about it during the day.
We don't get the updates fast. But I can live without the most current headache OS when my phone is stable, running well, and working all day without problems. I don't want to have to think much about my phone. I want it to be there when I need it.

This was when I first got the phone. It's gotten slightly worse.

After reading through this thread, I was getting really bummed out. People were disappointed with their battery numbers but were getting numbers better than me. I got this phone because I thought I could make it through the full day without having to recharge.

As you can see the phone can deliver. You should consider investigating errant apps or do a FDR. Good luck!

Haven't gone through all 11 pages of this thread but has anyone mentioned putting any device in Safe Mode to see if the battery lasts longer? I would have hoped someone would have mentioned this great troubleshooting step.

I have 245 apps on my turbo 2 (no joke) and the battery life is comparable to my old Samsung Gal S3. Keep in mind I have 245 apps installed. I am the one Tech Support tells you NOT to be. My running apps are HUGE. When I talk to others about battery life, I always say to put the phone in safe mode and test the life at that point. 90% of the time, battery life issues are app related; the rest is screen timeout/brightness, games, services such as GPS and Bluetooth, etc, live wallpaper, hardware, and cell/wifi signal issues. If the phone has a remarkably increased life in safe mode, its an app that is causing the issue. Update the apps or otherwise remove unused apps. Did I mention I have 245 apps on my phone?

Also keep in mind, any 'monitor' software is also using battery and in most all cases is running continually. Just sayin'

Haven't tried to run out the battery, but I've consistently gotten 4.5-5.5 hours SOT in a 24 hour period without going below 30%.

I'm at 4 hours screen on, I took it off the charger at about 6:30 and it's almost 2 now (not even 8 hours) and I'm already under 30%. The battery stats say my screen is taking up the most battery and I added up all the battery uses when I was at 34% which was less than 20 minutes ago and the battery stats said only 1350mah have been used. That should leave me with about 60% battery but I had about half that. WTF. Also, I cleared the cache yesterday

Not mine. I have a droid turbo 2 and regardless of what I do, I can not get more than 4.5 hours of sot. The most I've ever done is 5 hours and that was a very active day on my phone. It's really starting to **** me off. I have to charge my phone like every 10 hours

Had to add my two ¢.
Here's mine after an FDR, and marshmallow update. Brand new phone.

Not bad, but not 48 hours.
