Droid turbo battery life is terrible

I bought the Droid turbo 3 months ago and the battery was great for a while. Yesterday out of nowhere it began to drain extremely fast but it would also charge extremely fast without the turbo charger. It died at 50% and wouldn't turn back on unless it was plugged in. I have made absolutely no changs to anything.

Warranty it, there's obviously something wrong with it, and it doesn't sound like a software or app issue if it's dying at 50%.

As of now it's almost back to normal it's not dying at 50 anymore and I can turn it on and off without having the charger plugged in but the battery is still noticeably worse than it should be. It just makes no sense that this happened out of nowhere, no updates made no water damage and I didn't drop it, literally happened out of nowhere. I wonder if anyone else has had this happen or anything similar.

Your thread title is a bit much eh? Did you check to see if there was an aberrant app that was causing that drain? I had one of my games that updated a week ago kill my battery in half a day. Didn't think to check and see if there was an app wearing it away until late in the day and promptly deleted the game.

I removed Snapchat for that exact reason. It's a battery hog!!

Snare what was the game?

Did you install Google Photos by chance? Even after I uninstalled, the sync option was still under my account and it was hitting my battery hard.

I didn't install or update anything or change any settings, I always make sure my applications are closed and not left running. It happened out of nowhere

My turbo has incredible battery life, even better if i clean the cache once a month.
