Droid Turbo Headpohne Jack Problems

So obviously the phone has two modes of outputting sound. One through the external speakers, and another through headphones when they are inserted, right? Well my phone seems to think it's permanently in headphone mode, as nothing plays out the external speaker, but I can still control the volumes fine, and the headphones immediately play when plugged in. I already tried turning my phone on and off and all that nonsense... Any ideas?

Welcome back! Does the headphone icon constantly appear in the status bar? Check to make sure there isn't any debris in the jack--use a damp toothpick to root around, or blow it out with a can of compressed air. If it looks clean, then the jack itself might be faulty, and might have to be replaced.
