Argh! Capacitive buttons... Was really hoping for on screen buttons. These buttons are too close to the bottom and we can't change the back button placement. Ergonomically idiotic. One handed use trying to hold the phone and reaching across to select the back button at the very bottom edge is going to increase the odds of me dropping the phone. Despite this, I will probably have to get this phone. lol

Coulda had a 5.4" screen with on screen buttons, just like the LG G2 had an extra 0.2" over the Maxx.

That rounded back should be much more comfortable to hold. Too bad we don't get MotoMaker options with this phone.

I was hoping for on screen buttons. I'm still rocking a g'nex, didn't care fire the buttons st first, but now I really like them. In spite of that, I still think this may be my next phone.

Hope not, that will rule it out for me as phones are already getting to big and capacitive buttons needlessly make them larger. I'm buying my next phone off contract so I'll wait until someone gets it right...

Maybe next year... GS6 GPE or X 2015 (third times the charm [top notch camera and battery]?)

No, it's not that easy. They have to fit the touch screen controllers and all that in the bezels, so extending the screen by 0.2" means the bezels would have to be bigger to fit those parts.

It would have been 5.2" screen with on-screen buttons if the device were to stay the same dimensions. Essentially similar setup to the Moto X.

And while I don't like the look of the device, the specs are interesting, but what has got me even more interested is that this could possibly be the base or reference device that the Nexus X could be built from. So interested to see if the rumoured specs end up being true and how good the camera/battery life are.

The pictures sure make the phone look uninspiring but I'd need to see the whole phone to make a final decision. My sister and niece are waiting on upgrading until the final details are released officially. Its going to come down to this or the S5.

I pre-ordered a Note 4 as my Galaxy S3 is getting a bit long in the tooth. I'm a bit worried about being able to fit it in a front pocket, so I'd love to hear more about this phone as this would be the perfect size for me.

I've never thought of my Droid Maxx as a sexy phone. The CF is good for wear, but I'm not getting lots of dates because of it. It would be nice if they'd have the MotoMaker options for this one.
