Droid Turbo possibly set for a 10/31 release?

I have not seen anything concrete but there are rumors that the Max will launch with L

Whatever happened to the Droid landing tweets? I would have figured we would have heard more by now. They came out with two tweets a while back then nothing. Makes me question how soon the Turbo will arrive.

Not much to say about an unreleased device. They can't give too much away even though we've seen the leaked manual.

Samsung Galaxy S5 (Verizon)

How about some things like:

You asked for bigger pictures. We listened (although I don't think we did. We just want a camera that doesn't suck)

Everyone likes fashion colors.

How many pixels can we cram into a screen? Stay tuned to find out.

Big batteries are cool.

With all these leaks, I can't imagine why they would need to. Anticipation is building all on its own.

Between the manual and the red press render in the hands of the DroidLanding tweeter (seriously, he can't be high up the food chain), it can't be long now.

Actually I posted the question a couple hours before the red tweet. Before that he was quiet for quite a while. Good to see droid landing is still alive.

It will be interesting to see what happens if Nexus 6 is also on Verizon!

And chances of Turbo launching with L are zero - Nexus phones are sent to production at last possible instant to get the latest build. Droid would've been submitted for certification to Big Red at least 6 months ago.

In the past, Verizon used to rarely release flagship devices that would compete with each other too close together. They usually gave 2 weeks for each to have its time. With the Z3v being released on the 23rd and the rumor of the Nexus possibly being released this month, it seems a little busy for release of the turbo. We also haven't seen the leaks of the assessories and promotional material arrive at Verizon yet. I am getting a little worried that the release of the turbo is not coming as soon as we would like.

I'm pretty sure Verizon execs are busy trying to decide how to market and promote the 3 phones coming up - Nexus 6 (if it indeed is coming), Z3v, and Turbo. The Turbo no doubt will get premier treatment as its Verizon's pet brand, and its entirely likely that The Nexus 6 will be delayed to make sure the Turbo sells.

Where does this rumor I keep seeing referenced around here about the Nexus landing this month come from? The BGR and PocketNow reports just said "later this year." And the 6 won't launch without Android L, and that's also not rumored to be ready until later in Q4.

So I don't think Verizon is worried about the Nexus competing with the Turbo at launch, assuming the Turbo launches this month as reported. The Turbo is going to have a nice window as the marquee device on VZW.
