Droid Ultra: Restore tools icon and status bar?

Just got this thing and I swiped up and lost the status bar at the top and can't restore it. How?
Removed the Tools icon and can't find it in apps to restore that also.
Any tips?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean you no longer see the Notification Bar, with the time, battery icon, and cell signal indicator at the upper right? Also, what Tools icon are you referring to--do you mean the Settings icon? Did it look like a gear?

I still have the status icons on the right, just none for notifications on the left.
I forget what the icon looked like but it said "Tools". It's not the "Settings" icon.

Notifications are often temporary--if you acknowledge or clear the notifications, they will disappear, until the next notifications appear.

I see that now that I've been turning everything off. Thanks.

I also have lost my "Tools" icon. It's not in "Apps" or "Widgets" and when you tap it (did it on my hubby's phone) it opens up and SHOWS you the icons for Settings, etc. It was a ? on his phone.

Thats just an app folder, you can name them anything you want. The question mark is because it had the "help" app first the folder.
