I've taken a good look at the Droid X and would like it to be my next smartphone, however, I have a great many concerns. So I'm hoping all you Android experts would be willing to help me out some.
As the title implies I have a Mac and what I need is a smartphone that can sync my Address Book, Calendar, To Dos, e-mails, photos, videos etc. The bottom line...if I can't find a way to sync all of these things there's no point in getting a Droid X.
I had fairly negative experiences with Mark/Space for Blackberry so I'm not so enthused about going that route.
I use MobileMe and am not entirely thrilled about having to switch my whole life over to Google products. Not that Google is a bad thing...but I've noticed a real dearth of offline capability since they stopped supporting Google Gears.
I've tried experimenting with syncing my Mac to Google with some limited success but I really prefer one stop shopping so I'm not certain where to go from here.
I'm hoping that some of you good folks are also Mac users and that you've made the switch to Droid X. If so, what solutions have you uncovered regarding compatibility and syncing. Like I said...I want to be able to do everything as simply as possible and not over complicated my life any. being able to have everything in one place is pretty crucial.
So should I drop MobileMe and go all Google? Are there apps that are of particular use? Should I find a syncing program.
I invite everyone to take a stab at this and thank you in advance for your generosity and assistance.
