Hi all, New member here, I searched around the web and on here but to no avail. Hoping someone can lend me some insight as to what is wrong with my X. I purchased my Droid X Two Weeks ago this Saturday, and since I've had the phone I've had one problem in particular. The Battery. It seems that when I plug my phone in for any period of time, after charging for a little while, the phone will stop charging the battery and the battery charging icon will change from it's standard Green with the lightning bolt to a Black with a white Question Mark in the middle. If I unplug the charger from the phone the phone goes back to it's normal view of the battery, and typically the battery will have not fully charged. I have taken my phone back to the Verizon Wireless store twice now. First time, the guy at the store gave me a new charger. Today I went back with the same issue they gave me a brand new battery. I plugged in my phone this evening only to return a short while later to see the battery icon had returned to the dreaded black with ? in the middle. Has anyone else seen this issue before? If so what did you do to fix this. At this time I'm running my phone pretty much bare bones, I don't have many apps or widgets running, and nothing in particular that acts as a battery meter or anything either. Can anyone help? I figure if I go back to Verizon tomorrow they're going to ultimately swap the phone. Which isn't the end of the world but I'd really like to get to the bottom of this. Thanks in advance.

never heard of this issue before, but if you have gotten a new charger and a new battery and you are still having problems, its probably the phone itself.

Sounds like the sensor, that indicates to the phone that the battery is a Motorola battery, is bad. Get a replacement phone.

Thanks... lol, guess I'm heading back to Verizon, again, tomorrow. 3rd times a charm I hope! :)

Before giving up on the phone, I'd try a factory data reset. It should be short in time and easy for you as you don't have much to reinstall.

The VZW tech will most likely do a reset before he OK's a replacement anyway. Might fix the issue and save you a trip.

Shouldn't have to do a factory reset to get a new phone working right. I hoped you took it back and got you a new phone.
